Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global has unveiled version 7.0 of its app, introducing new overseas travel services in key Asian markets, including Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. The update marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to expand its global footprint.
The upgraded app now offers aggregated travel services, enabling users to access popular ride-hailing platforms such as Grab and Kakao T seamlessly. This integration aims to provide a more convenient experience for travelers in the region.
In addition to its Asian expansion, Didi is strengthening its presence in Latin America. The company plans to enhance its instant delivery services and collaborate with local e-commerce platforms to tap into the region’s growing digital economy.
Didi’s international operations span ride-hailing, food delivery, and financial services. Notably, its overseas ride-hailing division has achieved profitability, processing approximately 10.16 million orders daily. This accounts for 95% of Didi’s total international order volume, underscoring the division’s critical role in the company’s global strategy.
The launch of App 7.0 reflects Didi’s commitment to diversifying its services and solidifying its position as a key player in the global mobility market.
