Emirates is increasing its presence in Madagascar by adding two new weekly flights, bringing its total services to the island nation to six per week. The expansion, set to begin on April 2, follows the airline’s successful launch of operations to Madagascar in September 2024. This move aligns with the country’s goal to attract more leisure travelers and showcase its unique appeal to a global audience.
The enhanced schedule aims to improve connectivity, offering travelers more options and greater convenience. It also seeks to strengthen economic ties between Madagascar and the UAE by boosting both leisure and business travel, as well as expanding trade opportunities through increased cargo capacity.
Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for West Asia and the Indian Ocean, emphasized the benefits of the expansion. “Our growing flight schedule to Madagascar means better connectivity, more choice, and convenient travel options. This will not only support tourism but also strengthen economic and trade links between the two regions,” he said.
The additional flights underscore Emirates’ commitment to supporting Madagascar’s tourism ambitions and fostering closer ties between the island nation and the UAE.
