Zurich Insurance (Singapore) has teamed up with ComfortDelGro to introduce a new travel insurance product called Zurich Travel Comfort.
This insurance is available exclusively through ComfortDelGro’s ride-hailing app, CDG Zig, which boasts over 1 million active users each month and more than 2 million unique users.
Zurich Travel Comfort offers coverage for travelers who book their trips through the CDG Zig app. The insurance includes up to S$1,000 (about $733.03) in reimbursement for travel disruptions caused by vehicle breakdowns on the way to Changi Airport.
Additionally, users who purchase policies of S$15 ($11) or more will receive a S$5 ($3.67) promo code for use on the CDG Zig app, while supplies last.
The policy also features several added benefits, including real-time access to airport lounges for flight delays longer than two hours, 24/7 global emergency assistance, and coverage for non-competitive leisure activities.
Kenny Lok, CEO of ComfortDelGro Insurance, highlighted the innovative nature of the partnership. “This collaboration between Zurich and ComfortDelGro shows how technology is reshaping traditional insurance models,” he said.
“By integrating travel protection directly into a mobility platform, we are removing barriers and making insurance an intuitive part of the customer’s journey,” Lok added in a press release.
