The ITE Hong Kong 2025, a highly anticipated mega event, will bring together the travel trade and premium Free Independent Travelers (FIT) to explore global destinations and the latest travel trends. Scheduled for June 12-15, 2025, at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, the event will feature the 39th edition of ITE Leisure Travel and the 20th edition of ITE MICE. The exhibition will span five halls, with separate days dedicated to local and regional travel trade visitors, as well as premium FIT attendees.
Hong Kong’s tourism sector is experiencing a robust recovery, with outbound tourism in 2023 reaching 84% of its pre-pandemic expenditure levels ($22.7 billion) and 77% in departures (72.2 million). While outbound package tours are recovering more slowly, ITE Hong Kong remains a vital platform for global and regional tourism recovery, connecting businesses with high-quality visitors.
A Showcase for the Global Travel Industry
The event is expected to highlight the diversity and innovation of global travel, offering a dynamic space for both trade professionals and individual travelers. In 2024, ITE saw a strong international exhibitor presence and a marked increase in regional trade participation, with 46% of trade buyers coming from outside Hong Kong. A survey revealed that 59% of public visitors in 2024 planned to increase their travel budgets, underscoring the growing interest and demand for premium travel experiences.
ITE 2024 by the Numbers
Exhibitors: 515 (87% from outside Hong Kong)
Trade Visitors: 7,023 (46% from outside Hong Kong)
Public Visitors: 63,027 (90% Premium FIT)

Over 70% of trade visitors in 2024 were from the Greater Bay Area, which includes China’s top cities such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. With a combined GDP of $1.97 trillion and a population of 86 million, the region is a major source of outbound travelers. Hong Kong’s departure figures for 2024 saw a 52% year-on-year increase, reaching 85.1 million by October.
A Platform for Premium FITs
ITE Hong Kong has evolved to cater to the growing segment of premium FITs—well-educated, frequent travelers who are increasingly spending more on custom-made itineraries. These visitors take part in B2B and B2C programs, including Buyer’s Meetings, Industry Forums, and KOL networking events, and benefit from extensive publicity support and seminars. In 2024, around 7,000 visitors attended more than 80 seminars during the public days of the event.
The exhibition also provides opportunities for attendees to meet international exhibitors, plan bespoke travel experiences, and make bookings online. ITE Hong Kong is designed to not only foster business growth but also offer attendees valuable knowledge and insights into the latest travel offerings.
Looking Ahead to ITE Hong Kong 2025
In 2025, ITE will maintain the same booth rental and space arrangements as in 2019, continuing to offer excellent value for exhibitors. The event will also benefit from a government subsidy, with an Early Payment Discount of 10% available to all exhibitors who book by January 31, 2025.
ITE Hong Kong 2025 promises to be an exciting event that showcases the future of travel, bringing together key players in the tourism industry while offering premium FITs a platform to explore unique and customized travel experiences.
