Travelex Insurance Services, a leading provider of travel insurance in North America, has unveiled a new range of retail travel insurance plans designed to meet the diverse needs of today’s travelers. These market-leading options offer a combination of exceptional benefits, flexibility, and competitive pricing, setting a new standard for travel protection.
The newly introduced plans cater to a broad spectrum of travelers, from families to solo adventurers, and offer customizable coverage tailored to specific needs. The lineup includes:
Ultimate Plan: The most comprehensive and customizable coverage option, designed for those seeking maximum protection.
Advantage Plan: A mid-tier option that provides broad coverage at a more budget-conscious price point.
Travel Med Go: Post-departure coverage for last-minute travelers.
Updated Flight Insure: Flight accident protection, updated with enhanced benefits.
Updated Flight Insure Plus: Includes flight accident coverage along with basic post-departure benefits.
Travelex’s new plans are designed to provide enhanced value, with key highlights such as improved baggage delay benefits, expanded emergency medical coverage, emergency evacuation, and competitive look-back periods for pre-existing conditions. Notably, these plans also exclude non-traveling family members, making them more adaptable for various traveler scenarios.
In addition to these core options, travelers can further personalize their coverage with up to nine optional upgrades, including coverage for adventure activities, rental car damage, pet care, extra medical expenses, trip cancellations, and increased baggage coverage. These customizable options offer travelers the ability to pay only for the coverage they need while enjoying peace of mind on their journeys.
Travelex’s new offerings reflect the company’s commitment to innovation, drawing on feedback from travelers and partners, as well as competitive market research. The plans are a result of a strategic collaboration with Zurich American Insurance Company, leveraging the expertise of both companies to create a fully underwritten, serviced, and administered travel protection solution.
“These new plans are more than just an expansion of our product lineup—they’re tools designed to enhance the customer experience and build stronger relationships with our partners in the travel industry,” said Matt Seymour, Travelex Vice President of Sales. “With these enhanced coverage options, we are empowering travel agents to better meet their clients’ needs and elevate their overall travel experience.”
Travelex Chief Executive Officer, Will Nihan, also emphasized the company’s commitment to providing flexible and affordable coverage: “Whether traveling for business, pleasure, or a family vacation, our new insurance options are designed for every traveler and every trip. All plans include 24/7 global support, and our Ultimate plan offers special benefits for families, such as kids-included pricing.”
The new plans are available to travel professionals starting December 3, 2024. For more information, or to partner with Travelex.
