Dubai Culture & Arts Authority has launched the Etihad Museum Research Grant Programme to promote innovative research on Emirati heritage, culture, and identity. The grant programme aims to encourage scholars to explore Emirati heritage and contribute fresh perspectives, enriching the UAE’s academic and cultural landscape with new, original content.
The Etihad Museum Research Grant is part of the Etihad Museum Cultural Season and seeks to spotlight the museum’s extensive archives, including historical artifacts and photography collections chronicling events that led to the formation of the UAE. The collection primarily covers the years 1968 to 1974 and honors the legacy of the founding fathers and their efforts toward establishing the Union.
Dubai Culture is inviting researchers, academics, historians, and creatives based in the UAE to submit proposals that delve into topics related to the country’s history and identity. The proposals will add depth to the narratives presented at Etihad Museum, solidifying its role as a knowledge hub and key institution for education, research, and heritage preservation.
The deadline for applications is December 20, after which a selection panel will review submissions based on their alignment with the museum’s mission and scholarly impact. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews before final grant recipients are selected.
