The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is set to enhance its visibility in the United States and China, two of the globe’s largest travel markets, through a series of ambitious roadshows.
At the World Travel Exhibition in Miami from October 21-23, 2024, NTB will host a “Networking with Namibia” reception. This event aims to connect U.S. travel buyers, media, and PR professionals with seven Namibian trade partners. The focus will be on showcasing Namibia’s rich biodiversity, adventure tourism, and cultural experiences.
Following the Miami event, NTB will embark on a comprehensive roadshow in China, visiting key cities including Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai. Eleven Namibian travel trade partners will participate in this initiative, which targets China’s rapidly growing outbound tourism market, expected to reach 130 million travelers in 2024.
These strategic efforts underscore NTB’s commitment to expanding Namibia’s global tourism footprint while empowering local businesses and small-to-medium enterprises through international exposure. The roadshows are anticipated to increase international arrivals and tourism revenue, reinforcing Namibia’s standing in the global travel industry.
