Royal Caribbean International has announced the debut of its newest ship, Star of the Seas, set to embark on week-long cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida, beginning August 2025. This latest addition to the Royal Caribbean fleet promises an array of exciting features, including thrilling waterslides, a diverse selection of dining and drinking options, and more.

A New Addition to the Icon Class

As the second ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, Star of the Seas will build on the success of the recently launched Icon of the Seas. Guests can enjoy the Royal Promenade, a bustling area running through the heart of the ship, and Central Park, an open-air garden featuring over 30,500 real plants.

Dining and Entertainment Innovations

When it comes to dining, Star of the Seas will offer an impressive array of options. New additions include the Lincoln Park Supper Club, inspired by 1930s Chicago, as well as convenient pick-up windows for sushi and Champagne. The ship will also feature an AquaDome Market food hall, enhancing the culinary experience.

Adding a unique touch, the ship will have its own resident dog, Sailor, who will surprise guests in a manner reminiscent of the Golden Retriever puppy, Icon’s chief dog officer.

Exciting Itineraries and Destinations

Star of the Seas will offer seven-night cruises to popular destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and more. The itinerary will also include a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.

As Royal Caribbean continues to innovate in the cruise industry, Star of the Seas promises to deliver a remarkable voyage experience that combines luxury, adventure, and relaxation for travelers of all ages.
