Klook is expanding its JOYKreator programme in response to the increasing influence of content creators on travel bookings. Kenny Sham, General Manager of Hong Kong & Macau at Klook, highlighted the program’s success in fostering an ecosystem where influencers and customers can seamlessly share travel content.
The initiative, which began last year, has engaged over 300 influencers in Hong Kong, boasting a collective follower base exceeding six million. Together, they have produced more than 1,600 pieces of content for Klook’s platform.
Sham emphasized the pivotal role influencers play, noting that nine out of ten customers in Hong Kong rely on their recommendations for travel planning, as revealed by Klook’s Travel Pulse survey.
In addition to influencer collaborations, Klook is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) through its K.AI chatbot to enhance customer experience. The chatbot provides personalized travel recommendations and enriches journeys by suggesting nearby accommodations, activities, and experiences.
Following a recent funding of US$210 million, Klook plans to focus on three key areas: product innovation, rewards enhancement, and expanding into music tourism and mega-events. The platform will broaden its offerings in Klook Pass products, hotel accommodations, transportation options, and car rentals across Asia-Pacific.
Moreover, Klook will launch HK Rewards 2.0 in its home market, offering exclusive benefits to members such as discounts and enhanced rewards. The company aims to further capitalize on music tourism and major events, leveraging partnerships to offer unique travel experiences and stimulate local economies.
Sham concluded by reaffirming Klook’s commitment to providing comprehensive travel solutions that cater to diverse customer needs across all stages of their journey.
