Spirit Airlines is extending its Father’s Day celebration with a sale offering one-way flights starting at $39. To take advantage of this deal, travelers must book by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 18 for travel between June 30 and October 16.
The sale is valid for flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, excluding the July 4 holiday weekend from July 2 to July 9, Spirit Airlines confirmed.
“We know many of our Guests love to travel with their family, and this offer makes it easier to visit a new destination and make new memories together,” said Lania Rittenhouse, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Guest Experience, Brand, and Communications. “Families can enjoy our low fares and benefit from our new policy of no change or cancel fees.”
Discounted routes include flights from Atlanta to Chicago, Boston to Charleston, Dallas to Phoenix, Newark to Myrtle Beach, and Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia, all starting at $39 one-way. Beach getaways are also available with $39 flights to Miami from Nashville and Charlotte.
For those looking to visit Las Vegas, one-way fares start at $50 from Dallas, $91 from Atlanta, $122 from Orlando, and $130 from Newark.
As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Spirit Airlines charges for additional services such as baggage and seat selection. However, members of the airline’s Saver$ Club can receive discounts on these extras.
In recent changes, Spirit increased its checked baggage weight limit and made travel vouchers easier to use. The airline also eliminated change and cancellation fees to provide more flexibility for travelers.
Those who miss the sale can still save by booking tickets in person at the airport, where Spirit waives its passenger usage fee, saving travelers about $23 per ticket each way.
