Delta Air Lines has revealed its largest-ever winter flight schedule, anticipating robust demand for ski destinations beginning this year. The Atlanta-based airline will increase frequencies and introduce new services to several popular ski destinations including Aspen, Bozeman, Jackson Hole, Montrose/Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Sun Valley, and Vail.
Joe Esposito, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta, emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing extensive options for travelers. “With our latest winter schedule, customers have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to places our customers want to fly to most, paired with the premium services and amenities our customers always enjoy,” Esposito stated in a release.
In addition to enhancing services from major hubs like Atlanta and Los Angeles, Delta will reintroduce daily flights from Los Angeles to Bozeman, Vail, and Saturday flights to Sun Valley. These flights will complement existing daily services to Jackson Hole and Aspen.
Delta’s expanded schedule also includes a second daily frequency from Atlanta to Bozeman, further bolstering connectivity to Colorado destinations such as Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, and Montrose/Telluride.
As summer activities in ski destinations gain popularity among outdoor enthusiasts, Delta continues to provide year-round daily service to Aspen and Bozeman, facilitating easy access to these scenic locales.
The airline anticipates a 10% increase in seat capacity for the 2024-2025 ski season compared to the previous year, aligning with rising interest in skiing as reported by the National Ski Areas Association, which noted a strong turnout of 60.4 million visitors during the last ski season.
