Lynne Embleton, CEO of Aer Lingus, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to Irish customers seeking an escape to the winter sun. In addition to the warm climate, Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events, and natural wonders.”

With this development, Dublin joins the ranks of Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, and Zurich as accessible European cities for travelers originating from Las Vegas. Aer Lingus emphasizes that its Dublin hub will serve as a crucial gateway for passengers traveling from Ireland or other parts of its European network, facilitating seamless connections.

Aer Lingus currently operates over a dozen nonstop flights between the U.S. and Ireland, with particular success noted in smaller cities like Cleveland and Minneapolis.

Travelers returning from Ireland will find Dublin Airport a convenient departure point, as it houses a “U.S. Preclearance” facility in Terminal 2. This feature enables passengers to clear U.S. security and customs before departure, potentially saving up to two hours in travel time, according to the airport authorities.
