On the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), Emirates and Saudi Arabia’s flynas solidified an expanded interline partnership on Tuesday, aiming to provide enhanced connectivity and travel options for flynas customers via Dubai.
The agreement, inked by Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim and flynas Group CEO & Managing Director Bander Almohanna, signifies a deeper collaboration between the two airlines.
Emirates’ existing interline agreement with flynas has already facilitated seamless connections for customers via four key gateways in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam, linking to over 15 domestic destinations within the Kingdom. This arrangement offers the convenience of single-ticket itineraries with onward booking and baggage transfers.
Expanding this interline partnership to a bilateral agreement enables flynas customers to access Emirates’ extensive network across the Far East, West Asia & Indian Ocean, and Europe via Dubai, from any of Emirates’ gateways in Saudi Arabia.
Bander Almohanna expressed his satisfaction with the enhanced collaboration, stating, “We are quite pleased to offer more choices to our customers through Emirates’ wide network. Once the expanded interline partnership is activated, customers will be able to book their travel on the flynas website, through online travel agencies as well as with local travel agents.”
Adnan Kazim emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership, noting, “The existing flynas links provide our customers with an array of possibilities to travel smoothly across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in particular to business hubs and emerging leisure and cultural destinations. Connecting our networks solidifies our commitment to offering travelers in Saudi Arabia access to even more destinations and helping them benefit from unique travel options.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Emirates Airline & Group Chairman and Chief Executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, flynas Chairman Ayed Al Jeaid, along with senior representatives from both airlines. Looking ahead, both airlines expressed optimism about exploring further opportunities to deepen their partnership in the future.
