Delta Airlines and Hilton Honors have joined forces to introduce a limited-time offer that allows travelers to earn 1,000 Delta SkyMiles on stays at thousands of Hilton hotels worldwide.
Announcing the initiative on its website, Delta Airlines extended the invitation to its SkyMiles members to take advantage of this exclusive promotion.
To participate, travelers are required to be members of both the Hilton Honors and Delta’s loyalty programs, and must register for the promotion by Monday, May 6. Subsequently, Hilton Honors members need to link their Delta SkyMiles number within the “Preferred Travel Partners” section of their profile.
Under the terms of the promotion, Delta will award 1,000 SkyMiles for eligible Hilton reservations made directly with cash through Hilton’s website or the Hilton Honors app, and completed by July 7, 2024. During the promotional period, travelers can make up to three hotel reservations, potentially earning a total of 3,000 SkyMiles.
Although the miles earned may take between six to eight weeks to be credited post-stay, it’s worth noting that they do not contribute towards earning elite status with Delta, according to the promotion guidelines.
This collaboration marks another instance of Delta partnering with travel and lifestyle loyalty programs, offering members diverse avenues to accumulate miles beyond air travel. Through such partnerships, members can also register to earn 1 mile per dollar spent at Starbucks and Airbnb.
Additionally, SkyMiles can be accrued through expenditures on Delta co-branded credit cards or by flying with SkyTeam partner airlines like Aeromexico or Virgin Atlantic.
Redeemable at approximately 1.2 cents per mile, Delta SkyMiles present opportunities for members to claim free flights, particularly during flash sales where miles can be redeemed for discounted flight deals. Moreover, members can leverage SkyMiles for Delta Vacations packages, which offer at least 15 percent more value and include bundled flights, hotels, and car rentals at discounted rates.
