Air France Enhances U.S. Routes to Paris in Anticipation of Olympic Games

Air France is gearing up its connectivity to Paris from the United States, just in time for the forthcoming summer Olympic Games.

In an announcement made this week, the airline revealed plans to reinstate its Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (MSP) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) route on a daily basis. Additionally, there will be an expansion in services from Raleigh-Durham (RDU) to the French capital, increasing from three times a week to a daily frequency.

Commencing on May 13, the Minneapolis route revival coincides with Air France’s strategic move to meet heightened travel demand as Paris gears up to host the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. These global sporting events are slated to take place from July 26 to August 11 and August 28 to September 8, respectively.Air France also disclosed the augmentation of the Raleigh-Durham to Paris route. Initially launched at a frequency of three times a week on Oct. 30, 2023, it is now operational seven days a week.

Further bolstering its transatlantic presence, Air France has previously unveiled plans for new service between Paris and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, set to commence operations on May 23. The route will be operational on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout the summer season.

For travelers planning to attend the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024, Air France has announced the operation of two special flights from Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Nice, France (NCE). These flights, dedicated to the event, will be facilitated on a refurbished Airbus A350-900, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.

In a bid to elevate the inflight experience for passengers departing from the United States, Air France has enlisted the expertise of Chef Dominique Crenn to craft a new menu for its La Première and Business class cabins. The Michelin-starred chef has curated signature dishes such as Lobster with pico de gallo and tea sauce, as well as California charbonnier with quinoa, enriching the culinary offerings onboard.

With a global network spanning 189 destinations across 74 countries, Air France continues to solidify its position as a leading carrier in the aviation industry.
