Komodo National Park
Get up close to the world’s largest lizards in their untamed natural habitat, visit surreal pink beaches, watch spine-tingling sunsets and dive some of the world’s most pristine coral reefs. Three large islands make up Komodo National Park: Komodo Island, Rinca Island and Padar Island, plus a few other islets. This area is a World Heritage Site with over 2,000 square kilometres of protected wildlife, including some 5,700 Komodo dragons, as well as wild pigs, water buffalo, deer, horses, snakes, monkeys and the magnificent marine life beneath the waves.
The Spice Islands
The Spice Islands or Banda Islands or Maluku Islands Indonesia are an archipelago in eastern Indonesia, comprising two provinces, Maluku and North Maluku. They’re famous for their volcanoes and palm-fringed beaches. Breathe in the rich colonial architecture of Banda Besar, hike Mount Api, race locals in their boats, spot whales and dolphins and dive pristine coral reefs teeming with marine life. The Spice Islands region of Indonesia is the stuff of legends and features in many traditional and modern books, stories and songs. There are perfect sunrises against the backdrop of volcanoes and mellow sunsets with cocktails on snow-white beaches framed by pristine rainforest. There are as many underwater wonders as above, with vast coral reefs plunging into the deep blue ocean, creating one of the most biodiverse seascapes in the world.
Raja Ampat
Renowned for the pristine natural beauty of its 1500 islands, cays and shoals, Raja Ampat offers our guests one of the most remote destinations on the planet. Here you can cross the equator with giant manta rays, explore prehistoric caves, visit indigenous tribes, kayak around pristine coastlines and discover dive sites famous for having the most species recorded in one place. Raja Ampat, which translates as ‘Four Kings’, is located off the northwest tip of the Bird’s Head Peninsula on the island of New Guinea. The region comprises over 1500 small islands surrounding the four main islands of Misool, Salawati, Batanta and Waigeo.
