Jonathan Carter-Chapman, Marketing Director of Business Travel Show Europe, stated: “The Trump administration has only been in power for two months, and many policies that may influence corporate travel, including trade tariffs, flight bans, and environmental legislation, are still developing. As a result, it’s difficult to predict the exact impact on travel to and from the US. However, many travel managers are proceeding with caution, as they face ongoing pressure to cut costs.”

Awareness of ETA and ETIAS Schemes

Closer to home, the survey also found that 83% of respondents are aware of the upcoming UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) and EU ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) schemes. These systems are set to be implemented in the last quarter of 2025. Only 14% of those surveyed reported having no knowledge of these schemes, which will affect both business and leisure travelers.
