by Alice

Carnival Spirit has resumed operations following a month-long dry dock, emerging with a series of upgrades and enhancements.

The 2,124-passenger ship, operated by Carnival Cruise Line, now features a Heroes Tribute Bar. This venue, present on 14 ships in the fleet, serves as a gathering space for active-duty service members and military veterans.

Additional renovations include upgrades to the Cloud 9 spa, fitness center, and retail shops. The ship now boasts a new Carnival Adventures Shop, a Dreams Studio, and a mini golf course. A dedicated area for Chef’s Table has been created, while the casino has received a redesigned layout and a fresh look. The nightclub and all youth program spaces have also been updated.

After departing from Barcelona over the weekend, Carnival Spirit is currently sailing across the Atlantic Ocean en route to Miami. From there, it will continue through the Panama Canal to Seattle in preparation for the Alaska summer season. Week-long Alaska cruises are scheduled to begin in mid-April.

In September, the ship will embark on a 15-day round-trip “Carnival Journeys” cruise from Seattle to Hawaii. This will be followed by a one-way voyage from Seattle to New Orleans in October. Carnival Spirit will then return to its seasonal homeport in Mobile, Alabama.

“The new Heroes Tribute Bar and all the other upgrades to Carnival Spirit are part of our ongoing effort to continually enhance our existing fleet with features we know our guests appreciate and enjoy,” said Lisa McCabe, Carnival’s vice president of refurbishments.
