Dubai’s luxury hospitality giant, Jumeirah, is preparing for a major global expansion in 2025, targeting key markets in Europe, Asia, and the United States. At the same time, the brand is reinforcing its foothold in the Gulf region, particularly in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
The super-luxury hotel group is set to launch Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in Dubai, which will showcase its updated visual brand identity. This move is part of Jumeirah’s broader strategy to diversify its portfolio and enhance its global appeal.
The past year has been a period of significant growth and transformation for Jumeirah. The company unveiled its new brand identity, opened its first hotel in Saudi Arabia, renovated properties in Dubai and Bali, and entered the African market with two exclusive retreats: a private safari reserve and a luxury island villa.
In addition, Jumeirah marked the 25th anniversary of its iconic Burj Al Arab hotel, made key leadership appointments, and continued to innovate in the luxury hospitality sector. The group also expanded its European presence by acquiring Le Richemond, a historic 150-year-old property in Switzerland, further solidifying its commitment to ultra-luxury experiences.
A key focus for Jumeirah’s expansion strategy is whether it will prioritize renovating existing properties or developing new ones. Recent projects, such as Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania and Jumeirah Thanda Safari in South Africa, highlight the group’s ambition to offer unique, high-end experiences. Jumeirah Thanda Island features an exclusive-use villa in the Shungimbili Island Marine Reserve, while Jumeirah Thanda Safari offers branded residences and members’ clubs in one of South Africa’s top private safari destinations.
As Jumeirah continues to grow, its dual focus on global expansion and regional strengthening positions it as a leading player in the luxury hospitality industry.
