As 2024 comes to a close, the travel industry is witnessing a strong resurgence after the pandemic’s crippling effects. With vacations planned and flights booked for the holidays, travel agencies are gearing up for a busy finish to the year.
Denise Taylor, a travel advisor with Travel Only, reflects on the industry’s recovery, noting that travel has been consistently bustling throughout 2024. “The travel industry has been very busy. People have been traveling, and it’s actually been very good,” she shares.
This uptick is largely attributed to the recovery from COVID, as travel continues to grow year-over-year. Despite this positive momentum, Taylor points out that there have been ongoing challenges, particularly with flight delays and schedule changes. “Our flights have been either delayed or constantly being changed, so that’s been a very big challenge,” she notes.
Looking ahead, Taylor remains optimistic about the future of the industry, though she anticipates facing similar hurdles in the coming year. As travelers continue to book their trips and the industry adapts to evolving conditions, it’s clear that the post-COVID recovery remains on track, albeit with some logistical hurdles still to overcome.
