Founded in Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines is a prominent low-cost carrier that has experienced remarkable growth since transitioning to scheduled flight services in 2005, establishing itself as a leader in the regional aviation sector. Over the past decade, the airline has more than doubled its passenger numbers and tripled its route network, now covering 53 destinations in 143 countries.

In alignment with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals and climate transition roadmap, Pegasus is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint. The airline aims to cut carbon emissions per revenue passenger kilometer (RPK) by 20% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Key elements of its sustainability strategy include modernizing the fleet, enhancing fuel efficiency, expanding the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and improving operational efficiency, including the increased use of electric ground support vehicles at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Through its fleet renewal efforts, Pegasus has established one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets globally, comprising 112 aircraft, with 92% being A320neo and A321neo models.
