Hahnair, a leading German scheduled and executive charter airline, has announced the appointment of Dinh “Jacky” Son Vong as its new Regional Vice President for Asia. In this pivotal role, Jacky will oversee the expansion of Hahnair’s portfolio of travel agency partners and enhance support for travel consultants across key markets, including Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam. He succeeds An Ngo, who has departed the company to embark on a new professional venture.
Jacky will operate out of Hahnair’s Ho Chi Minh City office, where he will collaborate closely with local service partners. His responsibilities will include executing targeted sales and marketing initiatives, providing training sessions, and delivering presentations on Hahnair’s ticketing services to travel consultants.
A graduate of Van Lang University in Vietnam, Jacky holds a Bachelor of Tourism and possesses a strong background in the tourism and hospitality sectors. Since 2015, he has amassed significant experience in sales positions at notable airlines, including AirAsia and Cathay Pacific. In addition to his native Vietnamese, Jacky is fluent in English and Mandarin, which will aid in fostering relationships with a diverse range of clients.
Kimberley Long, Hahnair’s Vice President of Agency Distribution, expressed her enthusiasm about Jacky’s appointment, stating, “We are pleased to have Jacky on board to further develop our sales initiatives in these important Asian markets as we strive to build and expand our partnerships there. We believe his experience in the airline industry will prove to be an asset in supporting our travel agency partners. With a wealth of sales expertise and a passionate love for aviation, he will strengthen our agency partnerships and promote the advantages of Hahnair’s ticketing solutions.”
Jacky shared his excitement about joining Hahnair, saying, “With several years of experience in the tourism sector, I am well-acquainted with Hahnair and its distribution solutions. I have a deep understanding of the airline industry and selling flights via the GDSs. Therefore, I’m thrilled to join the Hahnair team and to educate travel consultants about the valuable services and support them in increasing their revenues.”
Established in 1999, Hahnair has become a market leader in providing indirect distribution services to other airlines, delivering ticketing solutions to an extensive network of 100,000 travel agencies across 190 markets. Over the past 25 years, the company has cultivated partnerships with more than 350 airlines, solidifying its reputation in the global aviation industry.
Jacky’s appointment is expected to further enhance Hahnair’s growth trajectory in Asia, a region recognized for its dynamic travel market and increasing demand for efficient ticketing solutions. By leveraging his industry knowledge and extensive sales experience, Jacky aims to drive the company’s strategic initiatives and foster strong relationships with travel consultants throughout the region.
Hahnair remains committed to innovation and excellence in the aviation sector, and with Jacky’s leadership, the company is poised to continue its expansion and provide unparalleled support to its partners and clients in Asia.
