According to the publicity department of Dulan County, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, the 9th Zhejiang Book Fair and the 2024 Maritime Silk Road Cultural and Tourism Expo, as well as the Ningbo International Tourism Exhibition, which lasted for three days, was recently held at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. Dulan County in Qinghai Province organized nine cultural and tourism-related enterprises, showcasing Dulan’s unique agricultural products, traditional intangible cultural heritage skills, and cultural tourism theme routes at the Ningbo International Tourism Exhibition, bringing a different kind of charm from the long Silk Road in the south of Dulan.
The Dulan booth at this exhibition is dominated by the colors of green grass and blue sky, based on Dulan’s historical heritage and ecological tourism resources. Through performances of traditional music and arts such as horsehead fiddle, promotion and display of cultural tourism theme routes, intangible cultural heritage and creative products, as well as cooking and sales of agricultural products such as goji berries, beef, and mutton, it showcases the beauty of Dulan’s green ecology. From tourism space to cultural context, focusing on Dulan’s unique keywords such as “Silk Road ancient city,” “hot spring tombs,” and “nine-story demon tower,” it attracted many domestic and foreign merchants, guests, and tourists to enjoy and appreciate.
During the exhibition, the Dulan Special Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference, “The Magical Chaidamu of the Motherland’s Treasure Bowl, the Splendid South Road of the Silk Road in Dulan,” was also held at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. This cultural and tourism promotion focused on five key words: “sacred,” “magical,” “mysterious,” “spiritual,” and “divine,” and launched five major theme tourism routes and characteristic tourism resources and travel guides in Dulan, focusing on promoting and showcasing the profound cultural heritage and beautiful mountains and rivers of “Silk Road ancient city, Splendid Dulan.” The white dancing Hada, traditional ethnic costumes with flying sleeves, and the galloping and passionate horsehead fiddle music, all presented a magnificent Dulan with a long history and culture, beautiful natural scenery, and colorful folk customs, attracting many viewers to watch and listen with thunderous applause.
Dulan was invited to participate in the Ningbo International Tourism Exhibition to rely on its profound historical and cultural heritage, magnificent ecological natural scenery, and characteristic agricultural and livestock products such as goji berries, quinoa, Highland barley, yaks, and Tibetan sheep. It actively leveraged the advantages of Zhejiang’s assistance and support to Qinghai, and through marketing and festival activities, deepened the connection with the cultural tourism industry promotion of Zhejiang region, actively carried out investment promotion, agricultural and specialty product sales, and cultural tourism brand promotion, and continued to promote the construction of international ecological tourism destinations.
