Azerbaijan Airlines has launched a direct flight route to Malé, Maldives, strengthening travel connections between Azerbaijan and the popular tropical destination.
The airline’s inaugural non-stop flight to Malé, the capital of the Maldives, landed at Velana International Airport on November 9. This new service is a significant step in expanding air travel links between the two countries.
Upon the flight’s arrival, passengers were greeted with a traditional garland ceremony, highlighting the warmth and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the Maldives.
This route offers Azerbaijani travelers a seamless option for a winter escape, catering to the rising demand for holiday destinations during the colder months. The Maldives, known for its stunning beaches and resorts, remains a prime choice for winter tourism worldwide.
Flights from Baku to Malé will operate every Monday and Saturday, beginning November 9. Tickets are available through the Azerbaijan Airlines website, mobile app, ticket offices, and authorized travel agents.
