Fare Class and Benefits

These discounted flights are available in JetBlue’s Blue Basic fare class, which is the airline’s most restrictive option. However, JetBlue recently updated its Blue Basic policy, allowing travelers flying on or after September 6 to bring a carry-on bag onboard without an additional fee. Blue Basic passengers will still need to pay $65 for their first checked bag and incur extra fees for flight modifications. Despite these limitations, it remains the most economical fare class.

TrueBlue Points and Award Flights

Travelers with TrueBlue points can also benefit from the sale. Award flights are available for as low as 3,600 points plus $5.60 in taxes and fees, but only in the higher Blue fare class. Blue tickets offer the added benefits of free modifications and seat selection.
