BARK Air, a luxury airline for dogs, has announced a major route expansion, adding new destinations in both the United States and Europe. Starting in October, dogs and their owners can fly to Paris, Chicago, San Jose, Phoenix, and Fort Lauderdale. “We’ve had such high demand that we’re expanding service to five new destinations and seven new routes both domestically and internationally,” a BARK Air spokesperson told Travel + Leisure.

BARK Air operates on Gulfstream G5 jets, each accommodating 14 dogs and their owners, though the airline caps ticket sales at nine per flight to ensure ample space. Flights serve metropolitan areas, with departures and arrivals often at nearby regional airports—for example, New York flights operate from Westchester County Airport, and San Francisco flights from San Jose Airport.

Upon arrival, passengers receive complimentary ground transportation within a 30-mile radius of the metropolitan area.

Domestic flights start at $6,000, while international routes begin at $8,000. The New York to Paris route costs $8,500, according to BARK Air’s website.

“We are excited to expand BARK Air’s service to new cities and through new routes, accommodating customer demand and bringing our unique, stress-free dog-centric travel experience to even more families,” said Matt Meeker, BARK’s Co-Founder and CEO.

BARK Air has gained significant popularity on social media, with videos and photos of dogs enjoying the airline’s luxurious amenities going viral. An Instagram Reel showcasing these features has amassed over one million views.

BARK Air’s expansion promises to make dog-friendly, high-end travel accessible to more destinations, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.
