Delta Airlines has joined forces with Hilton Honors to offer travelers the opportunity to earn 1,000 miles on stays at thousands of hotels worldwide.
“Delta SkyMiles members, seize a limited-time offer on Hilton stays,” the airline announced regarding the new promotion, featured on its official website.
To take advantage of this promotion, travelers must first enroll in both Hilton and Delta’s loyalty programs, if they haven’t already, and register for the latest promotion by Monday, May 6. Subsequently, Hilton Honors members are required to link their Delta SkyMiles number within the “Preferred Travel Partners” section of their profile.
Delta will grant 1,000 SkyMiles for eligible Hilton reservations booked directly with cash through Hilton’s website or the Hilton Honors app, provided the stays are completed by July 7, 2024. During the travel window, a maximum of three hotel reservations can be booked, offering the potential to earn up to 3,000 SkyMiles through this enticing promotion.
Following the completion of the stay, it may take six to eight weeks for the miles to be credited. However, it’s worth noting that these miles do not contribute towards earning elite status with Delta, as clarified by the promotion terms.
This collaboration marks another instance where Delta has partnered with various travel and lifestyle loyalty programs, providing members with ample opportunities to accrue miles even when not flying. Additionally, travelers can register to earn 1 mile per dollar spent at Starbucks and Airbnb, thanks to these exclusive partnerships. Furthermore, members can accumulate SkyMiles through spending on Delta co-branded credit cards or by flying with SkyTeam partner airlines such as Aeromexico or Virgin Atlantic.
Delta SkyMiles can subsequently be redeemed for complimentary flights, valued at approximately 1.2 cents each. Moreover, the airline frequently hosts flash sales, offering members the chance to redeem miles for enticing flight deals. Alternatively, SkyMiles can be redeemed for Delta Vacations packages, offering at least 15 percent more value, which bundle flights, hotels, and car rentals at discounted rates.
